Vindarnas grotta står på Fiskartorget framför stadshuset. Dess runda former kontrasterar mot och balanserar stadshusets stränga geometri. Det tog över ett decennium av planering och tillverkning, innan skulpturen invigdes i juli 1969. Den är 8 meter lång och 6 meter hög och har 1976 även hedrats på ett frimärke.
Titeln är hämtad ur sagospelet "Lycksalighetens ö" av Per Daniel Amadeus Atterbom (1824 - 1827), i vilket västanvinden Zefyr leder hjälten, Kung Astolf, till "Vindarnas grotta" och Felicia.

The Cave of the Winds is situated at Fiskartorget in front of the City Hall. Its round forms are a contrast, but also a balance to the strict geometri of the City Hall. It needed more than a decade of planning and producing the sculpture, before it was unveiled in July 1969. It is about 9 yards long and almost 7 yards high and was honoured with an official stamp in 1976.
The title is fetched from the fantasy-drama "Lycksalighetens ö" by Per Daniel Amadeus Atterbom (1824-1827), in which the westwind Zefyr leads the hero, King Astolf, to the Cave of the Winds, where he finds Felicia.

Die Grotte der Winde steht am Fiskartorget vor dem Rathaus. Ihre runden Formen bilden einen Kontrast, balancieren aber gleichzeitig die strenge Geometrie des Rathauses. Es nahm über ein Jahrzehnt an Planung und Anfertigung in Anspruch, bevor die Skulptur im Juli 1969 eingeweiht werden konnte. Sie ist etwa 8 Meter lang und 6 Meter hoch, und wurde 1976 auch auf einer offiziellen Briefmarke abgebildet.
Der Titel ist aus dem Märchenspiel "Lycksalighetens ö" von Per Daniel Amadeus Atterbom (1824-1827), entnommen worden, in dem Zephyr, der Westwind, den Helden, König Astolf, zur Grotte der Winde und Felicia führt.
